I TOW A ACE AWARD BRIGHTSTAR WITH A LAND ROVER FREELANDER 2' I PURCHESED FROM LAND ROVER A PAIR OF LAND ROVER OVERTAKING MIRRORS THINKING THIS WOULD BE PERFECT TO TOW WIH BUT EACH TIME I PUT THEM ON THEY SLIDE OFF NO MATTER HOW TIGHT I MAKE THEM IT WOULD APPEAR THAT DUE TO THE SHAPE OF THE MIRRORS ON THE CAR THERE IS NO WAY I CAN AVOID THIS HAPPENING, HAS ANYBODY COME ACROSS THIS PROBLEM ANY ADVICE WOULD BE APPRECIATED
WE use the milenco ones and they are fine. If money was no object I'd go for the dutch ones with remote control adjustment, but the milenco ones give a good steady view.
Hi, Thanks for all your comments on my mirror problems I will get in touch with Land Rover to sort the problem as
Hairywol says for the price they charge they should get it sorted, I dont think myself the mirrors are fit for purpose with regards to fitting a Freelander
Towed with a Freelander for several years and found the Milenco Aero mirrors ( as pictured in earlier post) fitted well and did the job .
Now use the Grand Aero but not with a Freelander although sure they would fit.
I changed car to a freelander 2 and my milenco grand aero kept slipping off - even with their alternative pads they sell for the purpose. Discovered as just about to set off, so had to buy landrover strap on ones. They fit great but were expensive.
Hi smartboy i have just bought my first van which is a brightstar, ive never seen one on the road and was wondering how you find it, what does it tow like is it a good choice etc
I would really appreciate your comments.
