Hi, we have recently noticed the trend for fencing off a garden area for dogs, rather than tying them up. Does anyone think this is a good idea, and if so what seems to be the best solution? thanks
We use a "fence" that goes up on arrival, dogs love it as they have a bit more freedom and saves many a knocked over drink (leads knocking things over). I have seen more permanent fences but I think that it would depend on the rules of the site.
I think fencing off an area with windbreaks for dogs is a good idea. Having had my bbq knocked over by my dog's lead I would say its good for humans too!

I would doubt the dogs would use it as a toilet as they don't usually go in their own patch.
I think it's a good idea to enclose them, if your dog has a boundry at home which they usually do, I think they feel happier in themselves, also it prevents any 'stray' dogs from getting to your dogs.
I am sick of seeing people on sites who don't think the rules apply to them where dogs are concerned letting them wander over to your pitch and upsettling other peoples dogs.
Not wanting to start yet another debate on this topic you understand, I am a dog lover and have one myself.
