Hi - I am in the process of buying a new caravan - Coachman Pastiche 560/4 and considering a porch awning rather than a full awning. I am unsure how to go about the finding the size of porch awning required due to the location of the windows and door (the door is nearer the front). I feel the space between the window nearest the front is quite tight. Can anyone assist please. Thanks in advance.
You need to get a tape measure and measure from left hand side of the door along the side of the caravan to between the window and jot down the approximate length. Continue along to the next window (if there is one) and jot down the approximate length of that distance too from the door. However, you need to look above where the side marker comes and take that into account as well. Also, if the door opens to the right then that's okay but if opens to the left then you have to take that into account as well. Normally porch awnings come in sizes 260 cms. and 390 cms. so you have to decide which of the two is the better fitting.
I use a 260 cms awning as a 390 cms. comes half way across the front window but my Coachman is shorter than yours so you have a greater advantage of choice.

Thanks for responding so quickly. We are collecting our new caravan on Saturday morning and had looked at a Bradcot Aspire Mini Porch Awning (290 width) when we were last in the showroom. Unfortunately, as we have always had full sized awnings, we didn't consider the position of the door and windows for a porch awning and just assumed any porch awning would suit. However, I have now discovered this is not the case. I think I will need to contact the dealer to ask the measurement from the left hand side of the door along past the window at the bedroom area. This porch awning fits caravans to rail height of 250cm but overall height of the caravan according to the brochure is 260cm though my understanding is that this includes the rooflights.
If the caravan has a fixed roof aerial then this will be the total height in the brochure which has to stated for height restrictions and low bridges etc.
What year is the Coachman Pastiche 560/4 you are buying?
We have just traded in our 2007 Abbey Vogue 540 which we had a full awning for and will arrange to have this extended, I think by about 30cm. We were keen on the porch awning for weekends and shorter trips (we have dogs so an awning is a must, as they don't get in the caravan) and I just want to make sure I get the correct one. Thanks again.
We have an Isabella Magnum porch awning and our caravan door is at the front.
We measured from the left hand side of the door to the right hand end of the rear window. The Magnum was just right.
We have just returned from a holiday site and there were quite a number of different makes of caravans using the Magnum porch awning.
Just looked at your caravan, it's lovely. It's a similar layout and length to ours so the Magnum will most likely fit, We paid £500 for ours off Ebay,
It was immaculate.

hi I have a 2010 coachman 560/4, when i bought the caravan it came complete with a kampa 390 awning, we fitted that just behind the front window infront of the door and it virtually went to the back of the van, i've since bought a kampa rally 320 Proffesional which will fit at the front door again and go just past the external bed locker, i've not used it yet but intend to give it a try this weekend weather permiting, it it fit as i expect it to do i'm going to sell the 390
