Hi wr have a coachman caravan and have looked there is no filter . We have a bad taste in the watter in 5he vsn like bleach . We have run it a lot but still tastes bad . We are buying bottles to drink can anyone give us any advice
Are you on a site or at home?water that tastes like bleach, could be chlorinated water,it's used to purify the pipes(swimming pools etc)otherwise, use puriclean tablets or powder to flush your van system, usually fill an aquaroll with water, add the puriclean and flush the system.

We always buy bottled or use water straight from the site tap for making tea etc. Agree with AL53HX. Is the filter not part of your pump that goes in the Aqua roll ?
Hi we are on site . The water from site tap tastes fine . Cant see a filter on the pump . There was a 2 berth coachman we looked in a dealers they had the filter under the seat near the water tank. Ours is a 4 berth so it has a plug socket thingy in there no sign of filter . How would you knoww if the pump has a filter
The dealers only do what they have to because time is money and can assure you that is most unlikely that any dealer will treat each and every water system before a sale.
We sometimes get this, we clean out the pipes anually and it only does this on occasions. Last weekend we went away and got it first time we used the water, boiled in the kettle for a cuppa, the next lot was o.k. from same aquaroll.
We have never got to the bottom of it, it's a mystery to us.
We find it's a sort of t.c.p taste.
Sorry can't give you an answer.
The TCP taste is from plastic if water has stood for a while, could be your kettle if plastic electric kettle.
We had same problem 2years ago first cuppa horrible second boil better third boil with fresh water ok.
wrong grade of plastic to make kettle. always got taste if water left to stand in kettle. got new one.
I always fill kettle for cuppa when visiting inlaws as they always use hot tap ugh" tastes similar to TCP.
Also noticed on some sites same taste from tap as blue domestic grade plastic water pipe is not used especially if site is not busy. seems to get better if lots of water used.
If this occurs we usually buy 4x 2litre bottles from Aldi for 99p or 23p a 2 litre bottle from Lidl.
Any water that is for drinking (tea, coffee, etc) or for cooking (soups, stews, etc) we make with bottled water.
Caravan fed water is only used for washing up or showers.
Having had one experience of drinking foul water from a tap that we were assured was fine for drinking, we will never take that chance again.
Getting ill from foul water is bad enough when you are at home, never mind when you are on holiday.
We have an old orange juice bottle that we fill straight from the campsite supply. We use that for drinking or making cold drinks.
We use the caravan tap water if we are boiling the water.
Make sure you empty all the water out of the Aqua roll when you leave site - and every year (Start of season) fill the Aqua roll with baby sterilising fluid. and run it through all your pipes (Including the shower and bathroom.)

If the water from the site tap tastes ok, then it's definitely your water pipes/aqua roll that need cleaning. Get some puriclean if you can and it only takes an hour to disinfect and another 30 mins to flush out again.
I don't have a filter of any sort on my caravan, but the water tastes fine all summer after I use puriclean. Also very important to empty and air dry the water carrier after use, ready for the next time and drain out as much water as you can from the system pipes.
Some places I've had a 'taste' to the water, but this occurred when the water tank (mine is a small fiamma one) was out in the sunshine for most of the day. I changed the water and refilled, then covered it with a reflective car windscreen cover and it was ok after that.
