Im travelling down the m5 on a Thursday evening in a couple of weeks and was intending to arrive at Sedgemoor services just before midnight. Stop the night in the services and then finish the journey Friday morning.
Has anyone stopped overnight at Sedgemoor this year ? Any tips ?
Southbound is a pretty big caravan parking area, rough ground but in June we noticed a lot of the pot holes had been filled in. We stop there every year we go south but only for two hours, only motor homes and caravans allowed in there unlike the north bound where we could not get parked for cars and transit type vans

Hi shaunsara, great stopover if you can get in.
Take care as you enter, 2 big stones either side of the entrance, and try to drive as close to the exit as you can so you can get a straight run out of the exit in the morning or you could get stuck in the middle.
If you are staying overnight dont forget to pay
10 miles before your stop look out for junction 17, signposted Gribbs Causway , there is an Asda with a petrol station £1.12 per ltr, you will need your card to pay.
if you do call for fuel, leave at J17 and keep going left for a short distance for ASDA and fuel.
The store is also open 24 hours on a Thursday, why pay services prices.
Sedgemoor Services
There used to be an entrance at one end and an exit at the other for the caravan parking at Sedgemoor southbound, so you could drive through as the above photo shows.
Now, there is a single entrance/exit in the middle which means having entered you have to reverse your van, and there is much less space to park up.
