As a former Grand Picasso owner, I should advise you that the Maximum towing limit is lower than the 85%. That was why we traded ours in and got a Seat Alhambra. Matching the car and van on What towcar.com gave an unstable match with our Sportline UP. I've just looked on the site and it says although 74% match van is too heavy for the car. I would check your V5 for your car!
Having said that, the sportline is a great van, we looked at the PX (Tay) and thought space was a bit tight, but loved the fixed island bed on the UP (Trent)

Thanks for all the replys and suggestions so far.

I would love to be able to trade up for a new tow car but it is quite hard to find one for less than £5000, plus the 08 grand Picasso has had no problems at all in the 4 he that we have had it, it is quite hard to justify ditching.

From looking through the manual and googling the model everything is looking like it should tow 1200kg.

With ours we towed this
2008 Bailey Discovery Mercury Series 5
Unladed weight 910KG
Maxium Weight 1130KG   
                   
It Pulled it great but we put some ( we was advice to put Spring Assistors in at the back)

We used to have a Grand Picasso and towed a Lunar Chateau 400 (1150kg).
