suddenly in the night a clicking noise is coming from where the water comes into my caravan. I have look at other forum suggestions about pressure adjustments but I cannot see and thing to adjust!

It clicks all the time No noise from pump its self but the clicking stops when I turn on any taps.

Help the old man will do his pieces if I tell him something has gone wrong when hes not here.

You are probably loosing pressure somewhere so the pump is coming on to pressurise the system. Have you checked for leaks ?

Its not the pump that is making a noise just a clicking sound from around the area that the water inters the caravan.

Sometimes it can be the pump itself that leaks back into the aquaroll so it can be difficult to spot.

If you don't have any leaks - have you tried adjusting the pressure switch ?

The pressure switch looks like this its usually below the bunk where the water comes in.
If after adjustment it still clicks let us know as you have said you are SURE there is no leaks. You should check the battery to incase thats faulty

Adjusting Pressure Switches
1) Turn off all taps.
2) Turn on isolation switch to operate pump. If the pump doesn't work turn the knob on the pressure switch clockwise until it does.
3) Open taps to clear air in system, turn taps off.
4) With the pump running and taps off, turn the knob on the pressure switch anticlockwise until the pressure switch "clicks" and the pump switches off.
5) Open the cold tap, the pump should come on within one second with a single click. If it doesn't, turn the knob on the pressure switch clockwise slightly until it does. Close the tap, the pump should switch off, try again.
6) Try the hot tap, it should come on within seven seconds, it doesn't turn the knob on the pressure switch clockwise slightly until it does. Close the tap, the pump should switch off within seven seconds, try again.
With a good pressure switch and using these steps above the pump should work when you want it and stop when you want it to.
If it doesn't there could be one or all of four problems
1)If the pressure switch keeps clicking turning the pump on and off, and you have noticed black bits coming out of the tap, the filter has broken, needs to be replaced and the pressure switch needs to be cleaned out.
2) The diaphragm has split in the pressure switch and the pressure switch needs to be replaced.
3)If it doesn’t work at all check the 12v supply to it.

I have a Charisma 530 and a flowjet pump. The pump is under the front corner seat on the opposite side to the water intake and water tank/heater. But cannot see anything that looks like the mentioned pressure switch. the clicking sound is coming from the water tank?heater area.. when the clicking noise is going the pump light on the control panel flashes. and the noise goes when i turn on a tap and the water flows as normal. Thanks everyone for your help

In case anyone is interested the clicking stopped after I took the pump thing out of the water hog and shook it then dipped it up and down in the water. No more problems. Could have been an air lock I suppose.

Yes, it was an airlock, had exactly the same symptoms last week and solved the same way. Usually caused by running low on water in the barrel or the pump sucking air if tap is turned on whilst the barrel is being refilled. Removal of the pump hose from the connector on the van and reconnecting releases the pressure and solves the problem.
