Lots of sites wont have commercial type vans big and small, sign written or plain simply because of a certain element associated with them, also contract workers tow caravans with them as it's cheaper then B&B,others ask you to keep them parked on the car park, unfortunate for people that need them or don't have a car big enough to tow the van, check with the site owners before you book a pitch.

Thanks for the reply.. if I get any too much hassle I'll fit a couple of side windows in it, which I'm thinking of doing anyway.
I drive a van 6 days a week and just like the driving position, plus you can chuck what you want in the back..

We tow with a Ford Transit Custom and never have trouble getting on sites. The caravan club don't mind at all. We do keep it immaculate though and use it because it tows much better and more economically than our car.

Back in the eighties I had a transit and a large and heavy twin wheel van. Van had plenty of seats, windows and room for stuff.
It was an excellent towing vehicle and the best part was that any of the kids mates or cousins could come too.

I have a Toyota Hiace van. It will carry 1 Tonne in the back and will tow 2 Tonnes. At full capacity It would need a tachograph
