anyone know where i can purchase awning bumper pads from, its the ones that are sewn in to most new awnings to seal against the van, i have added an image to my gallery of the sort i am looking for, any help would be appreciated
If you can not find them you might try using some of the heating pipe insulation tubes from a plumbers merchant. They work very well.

For a licence dated 1997 or later you must add together the plated max weight of the caravan and trailer, if the total is 3500 or less you can tow it. You may even tow a caravan with a MAM greater than the cars unladen mass the restriction was removed in 2013

A while back I used the pipe insulation as mentioned on the rear poles and it worked well. My wife sewed a couple of velcro straps on to the edges of the awning with a dab of seam sealer on the stitching, these wrapped around the rear poles with the insulation on them and held everything in place.

If you really want the bumpers then Isabella sell a bumper and pole set , however you will need to sit down and be prepared to extend your mortgage for them. £90 for one pole and one bumper if I remember rightly. I use pipe insulation.

I think you could make up a nice set of your own using the pipe insulation as mentioned above. I have also seen long foam tubes that kids use in swimming pools not sure what there called but they come in nice colours.
These 'bumper' pads usually come as part of the awning - I've never seen them sold separately. Those Isabella ones mentioned would, predictably, be an arm and a leg!
It might be possible to get one of the awning repair companies to make up a pair of bumpers for you.

i know they come as part of new awnings, this is an old one that i can not replace hence the reason for the pads, you can purchase them but the ones i have seen are a stupid price

measure the length you require x 2 and purchase from foam shop or off e-bay and attach to awning on inside with waterproof adhesive. usually about 6" wide by 2" deep. I also added 25 mm thick pipe insulation as my Geist had a Ally flashing sticking out beyond van wall
