I have a carver rapide water heater system in my coachman genius. I have no idea how to work it. There seems to be 2 seperate switches with red lights on them and a seperate control panel with lights for gas electric etc.....i want to run it on mains but i have no idea what switch is for that. Anyone able to help me figure this out please as its stressing me out..aaarrgghhhg
The first picture on the link shows the Carver water heater and the control panel showing is for the electrical blown heating system. That control panel shown does not control the water heater.
The control panel shown is for gas operation and 12 volt. If the heater is an original Rapide it would not of had mains operation unless it has been converted. The Rapide is hot water only ,the blown air is on the Carver space heater a separate unit. The Rapide later named Cascade 2 is mains and gas.
Ive managed to suss it out....i think....both switches with lights on need to be on for hot water from mains. Although in the process of testing the water system ive found some waste pipe leaks and the shower waste pipe has a 1 metre section completely missing. The hot water pressure is actually shocking so need to find a way of boosting it so the shower can actually be used.
The water pressure could be increased if you change the pump for one with a larger capacity. Pumps can be bought separately so you don't need the complete hose with connection
