You fill them either directly from a tap with a hose, if you are on a pitch with all facilities, or you can use your aqua roll to bring the water to the van that way. Ours has a pump attachment that plugs into the side of the van, switch it on and put the pipe into the tank (like putting petrol in a car) but the switch is on the van.
Emptying is easy. There is a a plug - unplug it and the excess water drains out under the van.
We always empty ours to tow but some people leave a little water in the tank, in case they want to flush the toilet.
