My affluent German colleague is a of road bike fanatic as is his wife. He is looking at buying a knaus transporter caravanhttp://www.knaus.de/en/caravans/deseo/layout-plans/deseo-transport-plus.html
I do wonder if his blue motion passat estate will haul it's 1500kg MPLM has to be close to 100% but it has a 500+kg payload and I don't think both his and his wives bikes weigh that much. I mentioned to him that with uk spec vans the waste and water carriers are not included in the MRO neither is the battery. Looking at the knaus website though all their vans include a full tank of water and full toilet flush tank, and battery and gas cylinders.
These vans must have inboard tanks like motirhomes.
Good if you want to be self sufficient. Wild camping etc....
