We have a 2014 Isabella Ambassador which is size 1000. We need to have it extended to 1050 which Isabella can do for £285. I have found a number of other companies that offer the service but I'm after recommendations.
We didn't buy the awning new so Isabella's price is around a third of what we paid. I'd be happy to pay half of that.
My only concern is that the material on the roof panels won't match the existing. Having never had an awning extended I've no comparison.
Hi Graeme,we had our Ventura altered last year by Trio pair, based in South Yorkshire, there service is second to non.i think I remember correctly,it cost us £200 that included couriers collection an return.ias your awning is only last years model I'm sure they have the exact materials used in the original.

I have had Isabella awnings extended by Isabella and other repair shops. I have found both to be acceptable, but there are differences. With regard to colour of the inset roof panel I have found neither had a perfect match! For 50cm you will probably need an inset at each end of the roof. The difference we found was with the awning bead, Isabella have a special bead with two beads, one for the awning chanel and the other for the brackets. This bead does not appear to be available to other repairers. They get around this by sewing 2 awning beads close to each other. In my opinion it was not detrimental to its design or use. I found Canvas Repair Centre a very good and cost effective company to deal with and they will arrange collection and return.
I chose Isabella on the one occasion as the awning was quite new but did find them expensive, The next time returning to the alternative option.
Hi Graeme, we had an awning altered by Gerry Reynolds of Newmarket Telephone: 01638 668837. They did a fantastic job and I can recommend them highly. I don't know how far that is from you but it was very reasonably priced as well.
I hope you get your awning sorted whoever you choose.
Kind regards,Sylvy.
Ours was increased 50 CM by Isabella, on a two year old awning. A very good job was made of it. Out of the bag you could see the roof corner triangles were of new material, but as the years passed they became totally indistinguishable. It’s now more than 12 years on from the alteration.
To us with such a costly, very high quality awning the cost was acceptable. In numerical terms the cost was less at I think £180 inclusive of collect and redelivery charges, but devaluation will obviously mean greater charges these days.
Thanks JTQU. I doubt I'll have it done until next year but at least I have a few alternatives to try. If the price difference is only say £80 I think I might just go with Isabella.
we had our awning reduced by Isabella fantastic job £199 well worth it as awning cost £1250 and had only been used 3 times they even gave us the material they had taken out in case we need enlarging again at a future date.
