We have just bought our first caravan (bit scary!), but we have had to move quickly as the inlaws were selling to upgrade. We are not ready for the van yet (need towbar etc) so will have to go into storage.

As a rough estimate, what is the cost of a seasonal or year round pitch? Do I need to sit down first? :)

Anything from £850 to £4500, depending on location and facilities.
We just got a pitch on an 8 month seasonal site near the Lake District for £1140 (£200 extra for winter storage).

Don't panic too much, we are on a seasonal in the bronte country and we open up first weekend in March and close up first weekend in january, with gas and electricity and storage I reckon it's about £1700-£1800 depending on your personal gas/leccy usage

Some sites do a storage with tow out to a pitch when you want it. May be cheaper than seasonal if you don't use it much.
