I will be doing some caravanning on my own with my 5 year old daughter, so being alone i want to treat myself to an inflatatable 'air awning' as I wont be able to put one up alone, the idea appeals anyway! No Poles or messing about, just plug in it, and blow it up. I cant seem to find a full awning though? has anyone seen a full awning or what is the biggest you can buy being concious of the price? Prepared to pay around £500 will go a bit more if its worth it. Thanks
I've never seen a full sized inflatable awning on any of the sites we've been to, only various sized inflatable porch awnings.
If you are on your own a porch awning, whether traditional poles or inflated, are very easy to put up on your own. There are only a couple of poles on a standard porch and then peg the porch down and your set up.

One thing to bear in mind if you're on your own is the weight. We have an air porch awning and it doesn't have any zip out sections so you have to drag the whole heavy thing along the rail. Doable on my own, but hard work to start with.
Not sure if an inflatable will be any easier than most of the lightweight awnings? You still need to thread it into the rail the same.
I have the 390 1/4 crescent type, It stands upto the winds very well and just 4 lightweight fibreglass poles on the outside and 2 inside that stop it folding inwards.
You could put it up alone, but mat struggle. Feeding it on is best done with 2 hands and pegging it down makes it easier with 2 hands also.
Maybe something like a sunncamp porch awning? Dome shaped ones. 3 fibreglass poles and very quick to erect.
Hi,
I caravan on my own and have recently purchased a Camp Tech 390 air awning from Jeff Bowen Awnings. It's a great bit of kit, heavyish to thread through the awning rail, but not as heavy as my full awning. Easy to inflate on my own and pegging out is the same as any other awning. I paid less than £400 for this including carriage which I think is a bargain.
Hi winterlover,as previously posted I don't think anyone produces a full air awning' but camptech have one in the pipeline for 2016.at the moment they tell me that they are struggling to keep up with demand for the airdream 400' ,incidentally I have one(can't fault it) so it's going into production next season.
Ps
It also accepts a annex.have a look on their website.www.camptech.com
Happy caravaning.
