Have now moved into my Bailey Louisiana full time, it has the Trump blown air heating, am using it on 230v as elec inc in my pitch fee's, last couple morning's once up at 0630 van is extremely cold, no condensation thou so a bonus, do most of you leave your Truma system on all night so temp does not drop or have you gone and got the mini oil filled radiators in each room running all the time, all advice and guidance greatly appreciated.
If electric cost is included then go for oil filled rad to keep the caravan warm overnight, they don't make any noise either. Once the days get colder just leave it on all the time.

at this time of year and during the winter months when i use the van, during the night any heaters i use are left on the lowest settings 500w.
if the heaters have thermostats the temprature will regulate itself.
once set i leave them on and the heat of the day automaticly turns them off untill needed.
eventualy over time the heat builds up and reaches comfortable levels
During the daytime when cold, on comes the blown air system
I dont supose it matters what system you use if the electric is included but the blown air heating does make a noise during the silence of the night.
Yea think will get 2 mini oil Rads, pop one in bedroom 1 in lounge, did have an elec fan heater on last night, it was ok but could do without the noise, yet then in the day my van is hot, guess that's living in a van compromise though, am enjoying it a LOT, but then haven't been through a full winter yet!!!
The noise of the blown air systems only bothered us with our previous 2013 Elddis van, not sure what the silent night time running was but you couldn't leave it on. The Swift has programmable blown air heating so it comes on at 5.00am and goes off at 11.00pm, the thermostat controls it during the day as required. If the noise of the blowers is too excessive, then as previous posts state, oil filled radiators are an excellent option, we see many people putting them in their cars as they pack up to leave sites.
And am I correct to assume that the blinds in the vans, are reflective against the sun in day time, but if closed at night rather than closing the curtains, those screen blinds provide mega heat insulation?
As well is two words!

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
We use the Truma blown air heating through the day and night, during the day we set it around 20c and at night i drop it to 11c. You can hear the blower but only just. I wouldn't want to use oil heaters as they'd get in the way and i could guarantee i'd make far more noise stubbing my toe on one making a dash for the loo at 3am in the morning!!
I don't have the thermostat where can set 20oC etc 10oC, just the side dial numbers 1 to 9, which is a shame as be good to set a certain fixed temp that I knew what it was.
Ahh sorry I didn't realise, before we had the thermostat I used to leave the heater on without the blown air setting on. Normally I knocked it down to 1000 then set it about half way to take the chill out of the air!
