You're welcome, MD! My Kip caravan is only 650kg fully laden, but it's impossible for me to push onto my drive as I have back problems. It was getting so awful I started to dread coming home. A grass bank opposite means that I didn't have enough room to manoever enough to reverse in. On top of that, loose shale drive and a bit of an incline.
Yes, they are expensive, but like so many others have said, well worth the money. I've never regretted the purchase, and I've never had a problem with mine (touching wood) and with a five year guarantee you really can't go wrong with that firm I mentioned in the link above.
Get a lightweight one if you can though, as there isn't a great deal of spare weight around with a Freedom. Although the chap I contacted said he is still within the limit and doesn't get over the max weight for the caravan, he is travelling alone, so there is less other stuff to weigh him down.
