So with Winter fast approaching, what is everyone's tips on living in a van 24/7

Ways to keep vans warm, stop pipes inside and outside freezing, water hogs from freezing up, shower rooms ventilated to stop damp building up, etc etc

I have a couple of moisture traps which I put in the sinks. I also run a small greenhouse heater - about 60 watts - 24/7 which keeps the damp at bay.

Open all locker doors and remove bedding/ clothes etc.

We don't live in our van all year round but we do use it as often as possible. Winter precautions are to keep water in a container inside the van when there is a possibility of freezing conditions, keep the heating ticking over all the time and allow ventilation from windows when possible to avoid condensation. There are numerous posts on this site regarding using caravans during the winter and what precautions to take.

I think the reason so many people read your post but didn't reply was that its quite unusual to actually live in a caravan over winter. Most people on here probably use their van for holidays etc but not actually living in them permanently.

As for any advice, my thought's would be insulate everything, check on which gas your using (cant remember which but one of them doesn't like cold temperatures)

have heating on permanently if possible, but definitely at night.

Apart from that I cant think of anything else.

God were was you to have propane freeze? propane freezes at -44f

Butane, (Blue bottle), does not "gas off" at low temperatures, but is OK in warm weather.

Propane, (red bottle) is better for colder weather, but we use it all year round, as I can't be bothered faffing around with two types of bottle.

The main reason there are not many answers is that this question has been asked so many times on here that folk get tired of answering
