We have bought 11 brand new vans over the years,8 of them being Swift and have never had one with different shade door. The aluminium used by the caravan manufacturer and door manufacturer are pre painted sheet which more than likely come from the same supplier.Probably had damage and re sprayed, it is not unknown for this to happen before a van leaves the factory.
The Bailey we owned was no different and that was Magnolia.
Our Challenger had a different shade of door, front locker and one of the side lockers. Swift had the caravan back to the factory and it all came back matched up correctly.
Thanks glamcamping, I will get some pics.
I've found out the doors are made and sprayed in Italy, which is not the same place as the caravan is sprayed. And with further digging I found out I'm not the only one, quite a few. It's was something to do with the spraying on the ali apperently and pigment.
Luckily enough, swift have been excellent with customer service, the best I've ever known.
Hopefully they're on the case and sorting it out well happy with swift.
Whilst I was away this weekend I noticed a coachman VIP newish caravan which was really bad with a yellow door.
