We bought our caravan, Sallyvan in September 2014 and had 4 outings before she went away for winter lay up so this year was our first season.
We set out to go away as much as possible within the confines of my hubby's holiday allowance and weekends.
We started in March and finished on 30th October.
I have done a data base and found we travelled in our season 2436.2 miles, had 49 nights away and spent £890 on site fees. (that includes 6 nights in a camping pod for our niece & nephew in law and 11 nights with our granddaughter.
We stayed at 14 different sites, 9 being adult only.
I am sure there are people on here who have done a lot more but for us it tripled the amount of time away that we used to have for camping and we had a wonderful time.
More than anything it shows the decision to buy Sallyvan was the right one.
I'd keep going away all year but hubby won't so put 18th March in the diary for our first 2016 weekend.

When we moved from a tent to a caravan it allowed us to take breaks all year round instead of just from Easter until the end of September. The caravan is now used at least once a month for either a long weekend break or a longer holiday, depending on work commitments. Enjoy your time away and try, time permitting, a trip during the colder months.
