We've just got an air awning, never thought about not being able to put my fairy lights up!
Maybe around the guy ropes somehow or across the front of the van, I will find a way somehow..

Coats, now that's another problem we will have to think about.

There are several small loops in mine where the blinds fasten to. I fasten a clothes line to them. You could fasten lights to them. Wet coats hang over the back of the chairs.

We don't have an air awning, we hang coats on chairs if required. Our porch has plastic rings on to hang an inner tent or roof liner, we use these rings to stretch a line across to hang things from. Regarding lights, we will be using, for the first time, suction hooks around the van and then the guy rope connection points on the awning to hold the lights in place.

Our Varkala 280 came with four white suction hooks to hold the wheel arch covers on and we use a couple of those on the side of the van to hang coats on. As for lights, we've a small set of LED ones and use plastic clothes pegs to clip the wire to the triangular door cover above over the side doors then down the guy-lines.

suction hooks on the van for your coats and then we use long cable ties around the air beams that are removable to allow lights to be hung from them.

We have a Prestina air 390. It has little plastic rings stitched into the inflating poles on the inside of it so that you can hang things there conveniently. Things hanging from the awning in these locations won't come into contact with the side of the van and have the chance to cause scratches or other damage.

It also has vents above the front windows to allow air circulation but not nasty weather.

I've posted before on several threads about the merits of this particular awning but people only seem interested in Vango or Kampa both of which seem to cost double for no appreciable difference in quality and also lack some useful features.

Here goes with another post on Prestina awnings which will no doubt get ignored.

Hubby made a coat stand using a screw in pole base (the sort of thing used with rotary driers etc.) drop a pole in place and lock in. At the top of the pole he attached 2 of the bulldog clip hangars (the sort you can buy in camping accessory shops which normally clip on tent/awning poles. These allow you to hang up to 4 coats. We turn a corner of the ground sheet up in the corner to the left of the entrance side door. Wet coats hang over back of chairs or hang up in van's loo compartment (drips into shower tray). We have a Vango Verkala 280. This system works well for us.

We have recently bought a Prestina ( I think 290 )... small 3 ribbed porch awning, and it is a brilliant bit of kit indeed. We looked at other makes and Prestina stood out head and shoulders above the rest for us......
Last weekend we were away in the very strong winds and it stood up with no problems at all. In fact another caravaner had his ( Not Prestina ) awning blown in half, and rip .....It has plenty of room in it , and easy to put up.....We would definately recommend this awning ....
