Hi All and a Happy new year, I have a Hobby 650, 2003, and i think the igniter is playing up, i changed the battery and tried to relight the fire but nothing, can't here it sparking.
Can the fire be lit with a taper? until i get to have it sorted. someone said if i take off the glass bit to see if it is lit i can light it though there. any ideas anyone
Many thanks, just in case.
Dont take the Glass thing out. Sometimes its not glass, it is a clear fire proof layers of plastic. plus it will need sealing up again. Just find the cause.

Its not a hangover, its wine flu!
I,ve just had that problem woth a 15 year old model, might not be any help but engineer unable to come out and got me to take front off and check the wire that gets pressed down when you push the button down is actually attached to the bottom of the button in its slot.Mine wasn,t so when button pressed ,no clicking ,it had become dislodged after a really bumpy trip.fixed it myself for free lol
Thanks for all the advice, i have not removed anything yet just being nosey but i did notice, by mistake i put the battery holder/ignition device in it's slot upside down and it started ticking underneath the unit so put it in the correct way tried to ignite! Nowt, so i got the hoover out and removed all the debris and dead spiders dust and the like now i can see more clearly, going to have a serious look on Friday when i am off. will keep you posted. once again "Thank You all"
