Hob is fine and the option of a single electric ring is useful.
Problem is the gas grill which makes a popping sound and doesn't seem to get very hot.
Oven doesn't make popping sound but doesn't seem to get as hot as the Dometic one in the caravan we've just part ex'd.
Full gas cylinder in use with valve fully open so is there anything that can be done to improve the performance of the Thetford oven / grill or are they just naturally not as hot as Dometic units? Could the gas pressure in the van be the problem?
We have a Thetford in our new Compass, on the third time out cooked our Christmas dinner ok. Turkey breast done on gas 7, just over 1.5 hours on the bottom shelf setting and was cooked perfect. Then did the roasts gas 9 for 1 hour on the middle shelf setting.
Maybe get your dealer to have a look at it.
Put winter covers on ur vents to increase performance maybe? I was told to do this from October mayy help ,can,t make it worse ,also improves fridge performance ,need 15% air space some cheap ebay ones totally block vent
When our Lunar was new the grill made that popping sound, but it did eventually stop and worked fine. We always found the oven to take a bit longer to cook everything.
------------- XVI yes?
As well is two words!
How does a sage know everything about everything? or does he? or does he just think he does?
Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
I think theres something wrong with it. Weve just bought a lunar, and the hobs, grill and oven work fine. 'Popping' sounds like airs getting in somewhere, or a blockage in the main line (leading to restricted flow to the burners). Is the valve to the oven itself fully open?
