Hi, our caravan which is on our drive is looking a little forlorn and the roof is getting greener by the day! I see several caravans around us on drives, most are not covered, what are the pro's and cons and any further advice?
I have one con, that it rubs the paintwork on mine on the front and rear panel/windows and makes it look dull. even with cleaning it and drying it off for well over 2 hours before fitting it and making it as snug as it can be.

Remember, if you buy something you bought it, not brought it.
Ive read loads on a forum lately about this and pretty much everyone who used them had problems with rubbing windows condensation and mold growing on doors.
Seems to stop the sunlight from coming in.
I was going to purchase but was put off after reading all the downsides.

Have you tried cleaning the caravan? I do mine quarterly with Fenwick's products except for the roof which i bit of a faff so it gets seen to only twice.

I think you will find nearly all the people who have bought high quality covers from Specialised and Protec have only good things to say as long as the van is cleaned before using cover.
A lot of negatives come from people who have never used covers or have used cheaper covers.
Our options are to chop down the tree next to our drive ( which I would love to do ) or use our Protec cover which keeps the van sparkling with no scratches whatsoever.

I have a Specialised one that is tailored to the shape of out exact van and it covers it perfectly with no spare canvas to flap about in the breeze for months on end, therefore little of no movement of the cover so we have seen no abrasion problems in 5 years of use. For me the extra cost of a tailored one is worth it and I would recommend them to anyone. You pays your money .......
