Getting a brand new Bailey Pursuit 400-2; she's being made this very week. I expect she's a chassis by now with wheels on.
I have a few questions.
Does the 100watt solar panel work with mains hook up. My guess is no meaning it's one or the other. Is there an automatic isolation if mains is used. Would it do damage if mains and solar are charging the battery at the same time.
Is there any way the trailer control anti-snake thingy lets you know it's working. I don't know if my existing 13pin car socket is wired properly for it. I was hoping to just plug it in and know if it is working OK or not without finding out it's not the hard way.
Where do people keep all the bits of outside kit like jack, leg winder, toilet fluid, spare wheel etc as there is no front gas locker and no outside access into the bed lockers.
It certainly is very clever design getting full size front seats and a good size end washroom into 13'7" body length and 918kg MIRO & 1090kg MTPLM. Most wold be 15' at least.
Your solar panel will work automatically - just forget it's there. There'll be a charging light, probably in a top cupboard, that tells you what it's doing.
You'll know the AL-KO stability control is activated by a green light at your hitch fairing, near the handbrake. There'll also be a whirring noise when you connect your electrics to the car.
You should have small lockers at either side of the front of your 'van, otherwise you'll need to use under seat storage or the car boot.
Enjoy your new caravan.

A pretty good deal I think. Placed order 1 weeks ago today, being made this week & collect it 2 weeks today.
The dealer has to fit some of the items and some are already factory fitted like the upholstery and sun roof.
We don't have to pay any delivery charge either, the factory is only about 12 miles away.
CSC have been main dealers for Bailey and only for Bailey since the year dot so have a really good relationship with Bailey. Gives me confidence to buy our 3rd Bailey now.

Bargains are out there if you look around and haggle. It took a bit of internet searching and then some horse-trading, but I got £3K off my 'van in July 2014.
Part of it was that It was my first caravan and I applied the same approach as when I buy a car. Several dealers told me there was no discount to be had and I walked every time.
How many people would entertain a car salesman who says there's not a penny discount to be had, but buys the same story hook, line & sinker from a caravan salesman?
Well done Navver for searching out a bargain, and to the dealer too for putting a keenly priced product out there.

Lovely thanks, picked it up this afternoon. It really does look very classy with the grey sides and the graphics. They are not stuck on or at least don't appear to be. We have had a paint seal job done so that may have sealed them down. The GRP skin really shines.
The dealer was very good, didn't rush, showed us all we needed in a methodical way and gave us a video.
They fitted our gas cylinders and no plate which I brought with me. Sorted out some mirrors for me. With a Pug partner the mirrors are tall and narrow. My strap-ons won't work. Got some Milenco Aeros which he fitted and adjusted to make sure they were OK.
Was a bit worried about putting the Alko wheel lock on with out a mover, but he showed us easy peasy. Line it up roughly then put the hand brake on one click and you can move it backwards and forwards just by turning the wheel.
The solar panel was working and the battery was fully charged. They say no need to touch it at all.
The combi boiler really pumps the heat out especially only being a little 2 berth. The control panel looks simple to use and seems to do whatever you want.
Only problem I've found is that the voltmeter doesn't show a reading. It looks like it should read as soon as the master switch is on but doesn't. I'll ask them tomorrow.
We're going to spend tomorrow setting it up at home making sure everything works and packing everything in.
Then hopefully off to Tudor Farm near Slimbridge in Gloucestershire. A lovely all year round site with hard standings right next to the canal. Only about 20 miles from home.
It is half term next week but they have an adults only part called the meadow. Shouldn't be many noisy kids anyway this time of year.
Wow, seems like you've had a good day and the sun was shining for you to collect the van.
As a result of you talking about what a great deal you were getting we ended up at CSC on Tuesday and ordered a Pursuit 550/4. It has everything we need and the price is fantastic. The only problem is it won't be built until the end of March so it makes it a bit close to our first booked trip but they've assured us they'll do everything they can to make sure we get away.
Have fun with your new caravan and if we're about next week we might pop in to Slimbridge for a guided tour.
