Hi
I don't post often but wanted to let owners of older caravans know of the world record attempt taking place at Retrofestival at Newbury Showground in August. Link below that tells you dates and a little about this great show.

The attempt itself is being organised (as far as I know) by the Retro Caravan Club and Portafold.co.uk as well as other clubs. We will be attending in our 1977 Viking Fibreline and I believe the upper age limit is 1982 but please check if you have a slightly newer van.
We attended the last attempt several years ago in Melton Mowbary and it was a fantastic weekend with many wonderful old caravans in many conditions with some fantastic people.
So if you have a crappy old caravan (or not so crappy) come along and be part of the event. The attempt itself requires caravans to be towed by car to the show and occupied for a period of time (24 hours)and best of all it only costs £10 per unit.
