I have always used a good old fashioned plumb bob hung just inside the door. You only need to level the van laterally to start with, so either pull or reverse the van onto twin Fiamma type ramps. Ask SWMBO to check the bob as you go.Some ramps now have a chock that engages on the ridges of the ramp-these area good idea to stop any risk of the van slewing a little as its unhitched.
However, I am about to switch to a Lock n Level as this device enables fitting of the twin Alko wheel locks, as well as a means of levelling and wheel changing without precarious caravan jacks.
