Sterilisation tablets only sterilise the water contained in the water barrel so if the barrel itself or the system hasn't been sterilised then it's a pointless exercise basically. What you need to do is sterilise the barrel and water system which Puriclean is ideal as it doesn't contain the harsh bleaching chemical that Milton does which can cause damage to steel components in the hot water tank plus Milton doesn't destroy the Bio-film like Puriclean does. Milton is okay for sterilising plastic components such as baby utensils but not recommended for steel. However, you can read further about water sterilisation in the link below, also click on the tab for their products which explains more about Puriclean.
We use puriclean as directed on the bottle. It leaves everything clean. We also use Puriclean's additive to the water which stops any bacteria breeding in the water. We use the water for drinking etc and have never had any problems.
We recommend that you only use bicarbonate soda. Add four heaped table spoons into an empty Aquaroll. Then fill the Aquaroll full of water. Swill it around then leave for 24 hours. By cleaning your Aquaroll regularly and thoroughly will ensure you will be able to use it for many years to come.
