Any suggestions on best product to use to clean plastic kitchen sink in our Swift Challenger? It has tea stains and not sure if ok to use bleach. I have read on here that bleach and boiling water can damage the pipes. Any recommendations?

There is a product called Acryl Star.
sold in toolstation for £10

Its a kitchen/bath polish.

Its like a T-cut for sinks etc.
Doesn't scratch and removes marks.

Other product are available.
A china bath rubber might work.

If its just the sink you want to clean try upvc cream or Autoglym caravan restorer. and then good clean with washing up liquid and water,or put plug in fill with cold water and a good slug of Milton baby bottle sterilzer leave for hr then rinse with cold water.

Bleach will not damage the pipes as bleach is stored in plastic bottles and if you flush with cold water you get rid of bleach.

Caravan shops tell you it will damage this and that but what they really mean is buy this product at a very exorbit price which contains simialar or same chemicals.

Ihave been using Milton or Johnsons baby's bottle sterliser for over 40 years to preseason sterlise my water equipment and caravan pipes and never had a problem with any equipment or reaction in any of my family members or my self.
There are food and drink which contain more corrosive acids than bleach even eat metals away.

Thanks for your replies.

Yes it is just the sink. I am looking for an effective 'everyday' cleaner, rather than a pre-season cleaner/steriliser. I have been using Flash kitchen spray, without bleach, but it doesn't seem to get the sink very clean. If it was my sink at home I would leave some diluted bleach in it for a few hours, but didn't know if it was ok to use it in the caravan as I don't want to ruin the sink!

try toothpaste, good on acrylic dentures, so should be good on acrylic sink.

Will need to give some of these tips a try. We left a car washing sponge in our bathroom sink and, being damp, it left a yucky, yellowy stain that I'd love to get rid of.

Hi folks dont know why my reply came up twice but PS to above. WE use baby bottle sterilser on a regular basis at home to remove teabag stain in our teamugs.
this is a highly filtered watered down form of bleach and is very safe if any item it is used on is rinsed well after using.

just fill mug with cold water put about half tea spoon of Milton or Johnsons in mug and stir leave for 1/2hr rinse well as clean as new.   PPS if you want to clean your plastic bath room items use a damp cloth sprayed with w5 synthetic material care £1.99 in Lidl when in stock comes up clean and shining as new
