We have just bought a new van ! and it comes with a three month free tracker sign up. http://www.tracker.co.uk wondered if anyone has used this system ? and what they thought ?

We had three months free subsciription and signed up for the full year.
If it is stolen we have to ring the HQ who then contact the police who then track the caravan. Won't know if it works until it does go missing.

Much prefer the Phanthom Tracker who contact you as soon as it moves.

I'd prefer to let them keep it and claim on the insurance for a new one.

That's if the police see a caravan as a priority, I personally wouldn't want it back anyway.

The Tracker Retrieve is as much good as a wet paper bag as you have to notify them if the caravan is stolen, this may be hours, days or even weeks if the caravan is in storage.
Not sure why manufacturers even fit this useless piece of kit? Not worth the subscription. Phantom give you a full year subscription if it is fitted standard into a caravan.

We opted to pay to continue the contract for it on our Sprite - it gets a discount on the insurance, so effectively cost us £10 a year to have the benefit - keeping the van on the drive at home also means we would know fairly quickly when it was gone... valid point though if it were in storage, as it could be a while before you realised it was even missing.
