Hi
Not the best start to the season, it's just been confirmed that we have a damp problem, over 40% in the rear corner Reading of 20% were picked up at last years service, but these had dropped back down to 11% by the end of the year. However when the mobile engineer, who has been keeping an eye on it, re checked it last week he gave us the bad news, thankfully still covered by warranty.

On initial inspection they believe that it is the common issue on Alu-Tec vans ie lack of sealant where the walls meet the floor, but will obviously know more when they pull the van apart.

Our question is this, has anybody had experience of this type of repair being carried out on site. Our van is sited on a seasonal pitch and being repaired by the mobile engineer, who we have every confidence in. I can see that replacing the sealant won't be a problem but how do they dry the floor? Is it a case of exposing the floor and using heaters over a few days? Just trying to get our heads around what to expect.

Fingers crossed no more damp is discovered when we have the full service in a couple of months
