Well, rightly or wrongly, I've put a deposit down on a 1991 Adria Optima 400B. It's taken my budget to the limit but will come serviced with two new tyres and a broken vent fixed. There were cheaper around, but they had things wrong and whilst this isn't perfect, it's niggley little things that can be sorted as we go.
Having seen the Elddis Explore 304 and some tidy little Sterckemans, I nearly had a wobble and spent a lot more. I can't really justify that kind of spend for how much we'd use it, or that caravanning is unknown to us.
All the dealers were saying the same thing though, they can sell anything they want for under £3000. At one dealer I looked at some right rubbish for £5000 to £6000.
Thanks to all that gave me advice.
