Sleeping at home tonight following a 3 hour drive to the van (first year on a seasonal pitch and 2nd visit to the van) only to realise the keys were still at home. Fish and chips at the local pub before turning round and driving home.

We always keep ours in the car and a spare in my handbag. After all, you never need them at home when your van is on a seasonal pitch. Hope you manage to get back there today!
Back already!!!! The keys were in the car.......but as we weren't towing we didn't bring that car!!!!!!!
3 hours to get here last night, 2 hours to get home, away at 7.30am this morning and back here at 9.25am, with a hot cross bun waiting for us from the owners.
Fantastic owners offered to drive and get our keys and we sleep in their van last night!

We did the same last weekend but I realised only 5 minues from home. We have however forgotten the chef pan to the cadac, and I bought rib eye steaks! Luckily a nice neighbour lent us theirs 😎
Think about leaving a spare set in a key safe attached to the underside of your van. We do this because we don't have to run around with keys when my daughter wants to use the van.

We keep ours in the car with the tow bar so can't forget them also wheel lock keys on same ring so wouldn't get far!

Is it not possible to leave a key with the owners of the site, never had a season pitch so not sure how it works, but thought this would be a safe option even if a small fee was involved. Would save a lot of time and stress, I would be so angry with my self if I did this... Easy to do though

We have thought of that as we have to leave the wheel lock and hitch lock keys with the owner.
Both Hubbie and I work in different parts of the country and meet at the van at week-ends so both need a key. This has reminded me that I was going to try and get a spare key cut and leave it with the owner.
