We are looking to buy a second hand caravan awning. We have a light weight summer awning which ripped in the recent storm, so are looking for something a bit more substantial. However we don't want to pay too much and also don't want anything too difficult to put up. One of our friends has a Isabella awning which seems very good so we have worked out the size (925) and have been looking at the various online "auction" sites. There are lots of options but it is hard to work out how old the awnings are / whether newer options would have any definite advantages? Recently we are looking at an Ambassador 2504 - is this ok / easy enough to put up? Thanks for advice. Paul.

Isabella awnings are very good but they are not cheap even second hand to which you said that you don't want to pay too much. If you state what sort of budget you have then more advice can be offered.
However, Dorema have a factory clearance for brand new awnings with massive discounts.
