I have a bailey Pegasus 546 which is Alu-Tech. When I went in the caravan a couple of weeks ago there was some mould on the outside of the fridge door, on part of the mattress, a pillow that I had left on a chair and wooden spoons in the cupboard. All the cupboards looked fine inside. I thought that maybe it just needed more airing through the winter. However I have just returned from holiday and found that on the journey back in the rain that the wooden vertical struts of wood in the floor cupboard at the front left of the inside of the van were wet for about an inch from the floor. Similarly, one was wet in the floor cupboard at the rear of the van. Is this a common problem? The van will be 6 years old next month and we are the second owners. Do I have to go back to the place where the van was originally purchased or can I go more locally and do you know what I should expect from them e.g. Do you think that it would be covered by the 6 year body shell warrantee? The van has been serviced each year by a NCC approved workshop. I don't want to be fobbed off. Any help very gratefully received as I am really upset as love our caravan. Thanks, Katrina
Not 100% sure where you mean but I searched pegasus problems before I bought my 2013 model and there were some reported problems of leaks tracking down the wiring of the grab handles from the LED lights. Take the plastic liner out of the side lockers at the front to see if it wet underneath.

The 2010 models had a 10 year warranty against water ingress.We had one.Now have a Unicorn 2.
If it was transferred to you,no problem.
You could contact a Bailey dealer or contact Bailey by e-mail.
They do respond quite quickly.

Thanks for the replies. I have just looked under the front locker and it is wet underneath. I have also contacted Bailey who said that it isn't under warranty as I didn't transfer the warranty within 12 weeks of buying the caravan. 😥
Sorry to hear that.Hope you can get it fixed.
Mine had a small leak on the handles which I fixed myself.I also lifted the trays and checked them regularly.
There are posts on various forums on the subject.
Our Unicorn recently had its service, the dealer asked for the lockers to be empty to facilitate damp checks so they are aware of issues.
