I get new for old insurance cover not market value, premium goes up every year but it is insured for the cost of a new caravan. Compass 2014 model purchased in 2015, insured for the 2016 price. Also to keep cost down our personal belongings (clothing etc.) are on our house insurance, only caravan equipment, awning, etc., etc. is on the caravan insurance, again new for old. Covered for theft, damage, EU use and have a £100.00 excess. Price depends on the total value to be insured, caravan, equipment, personal belongings. I do not take out legal advice cover, another cost, that's on the house insurance.

Either new for old, or agreed value. My last 'agreed value' saved me nigh on 2 grand when the 'van was written off. They (the CC&C) were all set to pay me out £5750, till i pointed out my cover was for £7600. They settled without a quibble. And, on renewal with a much newer 'van, the premium has risen about £60. Well worth it.
