Would any caravan owner close to Rutland Water be prepared to loan their van for the few days of Bird Fair in August ?
I and a lady friend volunteer at Bird Fair and use the temporary camp site there. I have a camper van but my friend needs a caravan or camper van as she was not impressed with the tent I supplied last year !
As neither of us tow, the van would need to be put on site Thursday 18th August and removed Monday 22nd. We are happy to pay a reasonable hire fee and expenses.
Hope someone can help.

I think that you would be better off hiring from one of the specialist firms that hire out caravans and motorhomes, or even investing in a better tent for the weekend.
Most caravan insurance policies restrict the hiring out of privately owned caravans for gain. Our own caravan insurance stipulates that we or our imediate family only are allowed to use the caravan on the policy we have.

Thank you for your input Julia. We have looked at hire websites but either they are booked out in mid August or the costs are horrendous. Maybe we should just hire a plain van and put a bed in it. She can use my campervan for sitting, eating, cooking and washing. I know ordinary vans are usually not allowed at formal campsites but this is a temporary site for volunteers and stall holders so a bit more relaxed.
