I do all the towing as I am a little nervous as a passenger due to breaking my back in a Rally Car accident as a Co-driver, my wife I think would be capable of towing, but we have Mayday and would call them in an emergency
Just because I don't cook doesn't mean I'm going to starve if my OH falls ill. So it's not imperative to be able tow, my OH would soon learn or find someone to help.

We also have always shared the towing (and any other long distance driving) though OH tends to drive when the route is more complicated as I (female) always plan the routes and am the much better navigator.
I think the question should be, if you drive, why would you not tow?

I never understand what the big deal is about women towing. It makes absolutely no difference what sex you are when it comes to towing, just the same as driving solo. We share driving duties and always have.
I have to agree as we have more women bus drivers in our town than we do men but nobody ever makes a big deal out of it by saying "OMG! look... a woman driving a bus!"
However, my wife hates driving, full stop! so I do all the driving including the towing and she doesn't want to tow anyway so I'm not going to object.
partner is really good at towing and as for reversing she can put the can on a 10 pence piece. she is however totally 150% useless at navigation without her sat nav. If we are going together she will drive and I navigate or if we are separate then she follows me with her pet satnav, which is okay until I make a woopsie.
have seen us use any of the following combos of outfit, both in her rig, she has her rig and I have mine and her rig and me in the car with a tent. my dog doesnt like one of her dogs so sometimes we have to sleep apart with my dog in with me
Yes my wife can tow however she does not need to, she is a better driver than me, can reverse better than me. She is though the Chief Of Staff Domestic and as such has her driver ME. And her own Personal Chef ME.
And I like it that way.
No, I don't tow. I used to tow the trailer but the van is a different matter. My husband drives vans and large trailers every day at work so we utilise those skills. I thought about taking a course in case he became ill, but then thought that if I didn't practice regularly then towing for the first time while worrying about a sick husband just didn't make sense.
If he becomes I'll while we are away I would leave the van and get him home.

Yes l do tow, and have been doing so for over 30years now, and after loosing my first caravan as part of my divorce settlement, l was determined to teach my second husband how to caravan and tow as soon as l met him!
We have been together for 30years this October, and have owned 6 different caravans and a couple of trailers during that time, although its only really since he retired that hes taken over most of the towing, his sense of direction is still very poor though, and its me and the good old SatNav that he relies on to get him from A to B!
