Hi All, Tried to erect our new Air Awning on site recently only to find that a join in the Alu Tech frame / awnng rail has a massive amount of sealant in it, stopping the awning being threaded completely, after clearing it (lack of tools) with a bent pair of tweezers and screwdriver and successfully able to thread the awning I was unable to get many tent pegs into the ground, the gravel hard standing had what seemed to be hardcore as a base, I inflated one 'pole' then gave up.
Grass pitch next time !
Caravan in storage so won't have access until its 2nd service in a couple of weeks, will get it checked , hoping I've not pulled out too much sealer.
Hi. Quite common on Bailey vans to have sealant left in rails unfortunately. We had same and have read many others that have too.
All you need for your awning is some rock pegs and a club hammer. I use Tarzan pegs and would recommend them as no plastic to break when I miss the nail!
Nice van, enjoy it :-)

Look out when Aldi have them, I bought two packs a few weeks ago, there is no need to use a grass pitch using these pegs, just carry a Lump Hammer in your toolbox

Being a born again caravanner and after buying a newer caravan that is only almost 2 years old I thought (wrongly) I could leave my caravan tools behind
