Hi we have just purchased our first caravan a sterling Europa 6 Berth, Single Axle, It is on our Parents drive at the minute but we struggle to get it on the drive alone , we will be siting it next year for a year.
We have looked at Mr Shifta 3 and read reviews are not too great, what would you suggest we need ?
You are better off with mover directly on the tyres as there is more weight on those.Movers on the hitch with less weight on the tyres can slip easily if wet, and on any incline, unless you add weight on hitch ie someone stands on it.

We have had two types of movers on wheels, first one was a £1200 truma, which was very good, but one motor needed replacing within 3 years, then the other motor went. We decided to replace with a cheaper on wheel model made by towsure which we bought from Sheffield, I seem to recall it was about £500, does the job very well.
Powrtouch Motor Movers are also popular. I got them to fit mine and it came with 5 years parts and labour. Had it for 2 years and not missed a beat.
Best thing we ever bought, we live on a steep hill and have a steep drive with very little space each side of gable and garden wall to get the van to back garden. Made getting van out and in a breeze.
