Its heavy and pretty awkward to store. The van has an L shaped front, side dinette/bunk and an end bathroom with wardrobe. Found a home for everything, except the ladder!

Never used it. Ours that went on top bunk were always big enough to get up there without a ladder.

Thanks. Hadn't thought of not taking it. Hopefully the extra years growth means this will be possible.

No need to go to the park tomorrow, will setup the climbing frame in the caravan and see how it goes.

In our first van we propped it up against the bathroom wall when on site and it wasn't in use. When travelling it went on the floor in the lounge. In our new (to us) van it fits in the wardrobe.

Again as above never used ours in any of the eight vans we have had with bunks. When kids were small lifted them in and as they got older they got in without it.In fact with one caravan we traded in i found the ladder for that, still in the loft two years later.

We store ours in the bathroom also, and put our towels over each step.

Just an extra way to use it x x x

After setting up the bunks and trying to see if we can manage without the ladder we decided we needed it.

Have put the ladder in the wardrobe with outdoor seat cushions holding it steady.

1st and 2nd vans had no ladder for bunk.
3rd one was 3 years old and ladder was still in original wrapping. It was still wrapped 7 year later.
4th and 5th vans had no bunks and kids had flown the nest.
