The mobile service engineer that serviced my single axle Coachman 450 was done on recommendation who traveled 30 miles from his home town. He charged me £100 for the full service, £25 for 2 new replacement stabiliser pads and to replace the breakaway cable. I had to book it 4 months in advance though as his order books are full.

Out of curiosty how long did it take him? A full single axle service should take around 4 hours.
£100 is really cheap. Take into account fuel insurances etc etc and consumables and you will struggle to make a living

It took him around three and a half hours to complete the service at the storage site to which he wasn't left unattended during that time which you have to comply and adhere strictly to the site rules. That's why his order books are full because he does an efficient job without ripping you off but to cut his costs down he will do another independent service in the area the same day which is why I had to book it well in advance. However, you do have to pay a £20 deposit on booking which is non refundable if you cancel or fail to arrive on time.
we had our single axle bailey senator service at san remo caravans service at Badworth near Retford for £185 this is an approved workshop they are not caravan dealers look them up on google or the like search engine and it will give you info on what they offer
hi sam we just had our single axle serviced at home for £155 by leda caravan services, we live in hoyland, barnsley, les the serviceman lives in jump about 1 mile away very handy. he was very informative, lots of tips and advice.
Hi everyone, I've come across the same issue with servicing my van. Just out of interest if there was a website where caravan owners enter their vehicle details, postcode and requirements, and nearby engineers provide a job quote and any additional information required this would help? Owners then book in with their chosen garage based on location, price and - most importantly - detailed feedback provided by the engineers previous customers.
Surely this would be something the whole caravan community would welcome with open arms??
