We brought our caravan from store today, prior to an outing on Sunday.
Got home to find the motor mover remote would not work!.
New batteries, no good. Further investigation revealed the on/off switch would not fully operate, its stuck.
You cannot take it apart without damage, no screws.
Tried some contact cleaner and wiggling it, no.
Off to Cosford Caravans, where the ever helpful tech had a look. He confirmed it was broken, and cannot be fixed. Thanks Mark.
New one £120 !
Fortunately they found a secondhand one which they had in the
workshop, and sold it to me at a better price!
Had to match the new one to the mover, simple job so it works again!
Thanks to Chris the workshop manager.
So don't lose the remote!
It is about 7 years old, as the mover has been swapped from a previous van.
Its a Truma mover so must be German prices!
