I am having decking put down, on which I would have to put my awning on. How do I tie it down ??
would be grateful for any help/ ideas

I don't follow.
Where is this decking?
Why do you need to put your awning on it?

Other than that, screw-eyes in the wood and clip it down

the van is situated permanently on the same site Getting decking down so that awning will be on dry ground. but am not sure how to fix to decking area.
Will have a look for the screw-eyes, that you have suggestions   many thanks

Can you not use straps or thick cord around the decking boards instead of screwing into the wood. ?

If there are spaces between the decking planks I would make some upside down ' J ' hooks , or roofing hooks, slot these between the planks , turn 90 degrees, that's what I did to a neighbours gazeebo.

Ive just done the same thing (decking then placed awning on top) I used screw in cable routers works a treat with no sharp edges

On our seasonal site all of the vans have decking due to being on a hill. The vast majority of people have used j hooks to secure their awnings to the decking.
