I've just had the 2 year service on my Elddis Avante 636. Service agent found damp readings of about 30% on rear quarter. On investigation he found very bad stress cracks on both top rear corners. Initially thought although bad thought no problem it will be sorted under 10 warranty. Now starting to worry as reading threads on here and others that things aren't so cut and dry. Haven't heard back from Elddis yet but am concerned they will duck out of it. Does anyone have experience of a similar situation with Elddis?
Good luck dealing with 'customer' service! They are appalling. We had some hair line cracks to the front of our last van - took them 6 weeks to decide it was THEIR problem and finally allowed the dealer to carry out the repair. Other issues were carried out by the dealer without waiting for authorisation.

You have water ingress so you should be covered no problem. If there is no water ingress that is when you generally may have a hassle.
If there is a hassle and the caravan is on HP, then contact the finance company and get them to sort it out. Thirdly if the deposit was paid using a credit card, then you may have some recourse there under Section 75.
You could also state Your Consumer Rights which replaced the sale of goods act, Of satisfactory quality & fit for purpose. a caravan should last more than 2 years. I recently had a fault with a Television which was 6 months out of warranty and had it replaced as I argued it should worked longer. The Sales of Goods Act does not apply if purchased on HP, as above comment the HP Company will act on your behalf.
