To be fair it does look a bit gimmicky, and quite expensive.
You might be better of getting a decent 60cm Dish something like a Gibertini Aluminium model.
Then all you need is a a Tripod, I actually use one of the Lidl/Aldi cycle workshop stands, very stable having 4 legs, and can elevate the Dish from 1m upto 2m, also the mounting post rotates freely and then can be locked into position when the satellite is located using the QR levers.
Another good addition is a SatLink 6906 meter, great little self powered satellite finder, with it's own 3" TV screen, which ensures that you have located the correct satellite.
Setting the Dish elevation is the trick to easy satellite finding, and a Digital Angle finder is just the job for that.
A quick Google will tell you the correct elevation for Astra2 at your chosen location, and calibrating the Dish Datum Angle before going away will make set up all that much easiar when you are at the campsite.

Baileyjake, 60cm Dish should be fine at that location I would have thought, as for Line of Sight, well elevation will be close on 30Deg, just a case of getting on a pitch with a clear view to the South.
The campsite we were on in the Southern Ardeche, had loads of trees, first couple of years all was fine, but on the last visit, the trees had just got so big so we lost the signal, although we still managed to get Astra1 which sits slightly higher on the Horizon than Astra2.
Definitely take the Dish, calibrate it at home first so that you can place a Digital Angle finder on it, this will take the guess work out of setting the elevation.
With the elevation set, if you don't find the satellite, then that will mean line of sight issues, although using one of the mobile phone satellite apps, is a good way of finding out if there is a line of sight issue.

Linky not working for me, I can't do the link thing, but Google will find you the angle finder, quite cheap under £20.
To calibrate the Dish, first find Astra2, then fix a small metal plate to the rear of the Dish mount, the plate needs to be fastened into place, with the Digital Angle finder giving the exact elevation reading for your location 23Deg or what ever it is.
The idea of the small metal plate is that the Digital Angle finder can be placed on it, Digital Angle finders mostly have a magnetic base.
With the small metal plate correctly positioned, it will act as a datum point, so when you are in France, you simply place the Digital Angle finder on the plate, and adjust the Dish elevation, so that the Angle finder gives the correct reading, say 30Deg, Google will give the exact figure for your locations.
Hope all that makes sense.

For Northern France, you should not have a problem with a 60cm Dish.
Using a Digital Angle Finder will take the guesswork out of setting the Dish to the correct Elevation for your location.
Then all you have to do is pan from East to West or vice versa, and you will find the Astra2 satellite in a matter of seconds, using something like a Satlink 6906 meter which will confirm that you have located the correct satellite via it's built in 3" screen.
If you are simply waving the Dish about trying to find the satellite, then that can be very frustrating, although not impossible, remember that you are in effect pointing at something that is 20,000 miles away, up in the Sky, and you only have to be about 3Deg of with your aim, to not be able to find that satellite.
Good luck and let us know when you have found the satellite.
