We have a 90's retro caravan 2 berth. We will use it again this summer but then I want to sell it before the end of August and get it off the drive at home before winter.
We want to buy a newer caravan early next year to site store it up in North Yorkshire.
My question is do you think people will be looking to buy towards the end of the summer or should I wait until next Spring to try and sell. I need the money from the sale to put towards the new caravan, so I need to sell before I can buy.
Best time to sell is the beginning of the season, and the best time to buy is at the end. It's true, people do look all year round, but at the end of the season and beyond they tend to be after a bargain.
If you want a good price, sell when people are looking for a caravan to use that season.
We bought ours in September, as did our friends. That may be the time when fed-up (canvas) campers look to buy after a less than successful camping season
------------- From tents to trailer tents to a tin tent to an air tent to trailer tent and back to tin tent!

If the weather stays as it is there will be plenty of those.
