It depends what you are towing with and what weight you are pulling as just exiting Buxton on the A515 there is a very steep hill. I went up there a few years ago with a Vauxhall Zafira 1.8 and a small caravan (1000 kgs. MTPLM) and I had to drop down to first gear due to a slow moving lorry in front. Not recommended if you are a novice so an alternative route may be better.
You have no location in your profile so as above post, what area are you travelling from?
If you have a good road atlas it will normally point out where the steep hills are and this is confirmed in the AA 2015 road atlas.
