No never , but quite easily you could take lead to your awning then add 3 way splitter(so it's in your awning) then lead to van (this way you would need another mains lead
Thanks. So a 3 way splitter at the ehu post then one cable off to the van as normal and another cable plugged into the 3 way with a standard 3 pin socket on the other end then a standard extension lead from that to her awning? Have I got it right? ☺

3 way splitter (£10 from towsure) in ehu post plug your normal mains lead in as normal from this to your caravan.then plug mobile mains unit in any of the other 2 on splitter and run this straight in your awning . towsure ,blacks ,most caravan shops do about £20ish or eBay it has caravan plug one end and usually 3 plug and trip switches at other end on orange lead .

Almost! But remember that the lead and unit supplying power for the coolbox needs to be the kind designed for tents, with its own RCD and MCD protection (like http://www.ukcampsite.co.uk/articles/view.asp?id=81) as it won't have the protection of the 'van's consumer unit.
When I need mains power in the awning , I use an outdoor (with rcd) socket I made up to a length of cable and just run it through the window... works a treat.
My external socket cost £90 to install at the dealers but any competent electrician could do it probably a lot cheaper. The socket is in the battery box next to the mains cable socket
Sorry. Last question. Can I use an extension lead I have at home that I use when cutting the hedge? It has a button that you press prior to using to protect yourself from electric shock should you cut the cable by accident. Is that the same sort of set up as the camping cables you can buy? I.e. when I have the 3 way and the cable with an ehu connection one end and a standard 3 pin socket the other am I hen safe using the extension cable I describe above into the awning or should night buy a camping one?
It's not home made but it is just a regular extension lead with a cutoff feature. But yes it makes sense to get a camping one like you say. Thanks for all your help.
Small hole through battery box from electrical panel...under bed...feed cable through and fit water proof socket on end.....Other end plug into spare socket in van...feed new ''extension'' out of battery box into awning and hey presto .....leccy in the awning protected by 3 amp fuse in plug and RCD in vans leccy panel...cheapy cheap job and can be removed in winter etc and pulled back inside battery box when you leave site.
We always have an electric cool box, ( 12v on mains adaptor ) in our awning as no matter what size fridge we get in our vans its never big enough !!
I just put a fused spur off the main ring in the van under the seats, and an external socket on the other end under the van. Never had a problem. Luckily the new one has one in the battery box.
