We had a problem with water ingress when it rained. We did get the door fixed properly, but before that what we did was to buy two lengths of the beading that fits into the awning rail and sewed it to the top and bottom of a plastic shower curtain and then threaded it along the awning rail top and bottom and we had a waterproof cover for the door. We still use it. We just pull it to one side when we want to go in the caravan. We take it off when we go away and we are using the van all the time. But have it on all the time at home.
